Medication Management Done Differently - Our Integrative Psychiatry Branch can work with you or your child to tailor a psychiatric medication management plan alone or as a supplement to talk therapy that is specific to your needs, symptoms, and therapeutic experience, available for all ages.
Depending on your needs and clinical evaluation, treatment may include:
Starting a psychiatric medication when clinically appropriate
Reviewing medications prescribed by another provider
Adjusting an existing medication regimen
Discussing evidence-informed lifestyle, nutrition or supplement strategies when appropriate and desired
Monitoring effectiveness and potential side effects
Discussing medication alternatives
Developing a medically supervised tapering plan when appropriate
Coordinating medication management with therapy
Considering relevant laboratory information (which we can order for you!)

WHOLE Wellness Services provides psychiatric medication management in Rochester and Pittsford, NY, with virtual appointments available for eligible patients throughout New York State.
Our team can also adjust a medication plan from another provider that has been unsuccessful by assisting you to taper-off certain medications that have not worked well for you or your child and to replace them with alternatives. Our physicians have auxiliary integrative, functional, and holistic training that make for a truly exceptional experience, as they are well equipped to assist you with the usual challenges of medications, such as unwanted side effects. We can also utilize non-RX OTC herbal/supplemental & dietary strategies according to your preference. We strive to offer some of the lowest prices available in New York for private psychiatric medication management.
Please note that any scripts or labs ordered by our clinician will be billed under your usual insurance plan by your chosen pharmacy/lab despite our out-of-network status. Looking to manage your mental health symptoms in a way that is less invasive, more natural, or possibly more affordable than prescription drugs? Our prescribers’ functional, naturopathic, & integrative psychiatry experience allow them to tailor a treatment plan that includes non-rx based solutions for ongoing mental health symptoms you may be struggling with, with the intention to provide hope to those that are not interested in prescription drugs, are concerned about major side effects, or have not had success with traditional medication management thus far. We can also help you to safely taper off your current medications and work with you to reduce current side effects. In-person or virtual sessions available.

Full scope Functional Psychiatric Management
The most comprehensive of our medication services, this option offers our clients a thorough assessment of current mental health & physical symptom profile, assessment/reassessment for proper medication or tapering, as well as a personalized treatment plan. This service is excellent for clients that may have tried other RX solutions without improvements. A complementary lab order for GenesSight testing will be placed on your behalf by your clinician, which can more accurately guide the provider in the medication selection process by providing insights on how you uniquely metabolize various medications based on your specific genetics.
You will also receive information & recommendations on both basic and functional lab work as indicated & desired in order to further determine if your symptoms may have health-related causes. Basic (non-functional) labs & scripts are often fully covered by your insurance. This service includes both a 60 minute assessment session as well as a 20 minute follow up session to go over your treatment plan and Genesite results if applicable.
Your treatment plan may include an effective combination of: prescription medications, dietary suggestions, OTC herbal and supplemental options, as well as education around your state of health.

All medical sessions are pre-paid and there is a $115 per-hour fee for all cancellations or date transfers of medical or evaluation services. In order to continue to provide you with these highly specialized services, we are unable to sustain empty session slots due to these occurrences for our physician.
