Our Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner and Integrative Psychiatry Team can work with you or your child to tailor a medication management plan as a supplement to talk therapy that is specific to your needs, symptoms, and therapeutic experience, available for all ages and treating issues such as ADHD, Mood Disorders, PCOS/Hormone Imbalance, Obesity, Anxiety, Depression, Personality Issues, Bipolar Disorder, & more. Our team can also adjust a medication plan from another provider that has been unsuccessful by assisting you to taper-off certain medications that have not worked well for you or your child and to replace them with alternatives. Our physicians have auxiliary integrative, functional, and holistic training that make for a truly exceptional experience, as they are well equipped to assist you with the usual challenges of medications, such as unwanted side effects. We also strive to offer some of the lowest prices available in New York for private psychiatric medication management. *Please note: Medical appointments with us are billed differently than therapy appointments. At this time, Stephanie and our NP team can provide both traditional prescription medication options to treat mental health symptoms as well as functionally based treatment plans focused on the use of non-prescription OTC herbal/supplemental strategies, according to your preference. Please note that any scripts or labs ordered by our clinician will be covered under your usual insurance plan’s terms through your chosen pharmacy/lab despite our out-of-network status. Mental Health Medication Management

Your primary therapist and our prescriber will collaborate before you are seen for your appointment to determine your current needs and mental health symptoms. Further assessment will be completed during your session, where you may then receive a new prescription, reassessment, adjustment, or tapering and/or replacement of current medication. In person or virtual sessions available. This appointment may include complementary testing using the SCID interview depending upon your needs. This testing is the gold standard of diagnostic determination for prescribing. *Basic lab workup may be added if requested. (follow up session required.)

Functional Non-Script OTC Mental Health Management

Looking to manage your mental health symptoms in a way that is less invasive, more natural, or possibly more affordable than prescription drugs? Our prescriber’s functional/integrative psychiatry background allow her to tailor a treatment plan that includes non-script based solutions for ongoing mental health symptoms you may be struggling with, with the intention to provide hope to those that are not interested in prescription drugs, are concerned about major side effects, or have not had success with traditional medication management thus far. She can also help you to taper off your current medications safely and work with you to reduce current side effects. This service is the first of its kind in upstate NY and will utilize dietary, supplemental, herbal, and OTC solutions. In person or virtual sessions available.

Does not include: Scripts of any kind, lab workups, or extended assessments (see additional services option below.) *Functional lab workup may be added if requested (follow up session required.)

Extended Integrative Psychiatry & Medical Management Assessment

Wouldn’t it be nice to know if something is definitely “off” medically, or if you have a true chemical imbalance causing mental health concerns? Wouldn’t it be empowering to confirm that your physical ailments are caused by fixable issues such as food sensitivities, a thyroid disorder, nutrient deficiencies, or that a medication may not work well for you due to your genetic makeup? Looking to manage your mental health symptoms in a way that is less invasive, more natural, or possibly more affordable than using prescription drugs?

The most comprehensive of our medical services, this option offers our clients a personalized plan with a thorough assessment of current mental health & physical symptom profile, as well as assessment/reassessment for proper medication or tapering, & non-script solutions if preferred. You will also receive recommendations for both basic and functional lab work as indicated and desired. Basic (non-functional) labs & scripts are often fully covered by your insurance. Stephanie Carletta, PMHNP will then help you to understand your lab results and together, you will create a simplified treatment plan to assist you in improving your overall wellness and the symptoms you’re experiencing. This service includes both a 60 minute assessment session as well as a 20 minute follow up session to go over your treatment plan/lab results.

Your treatment plan may include an effective combination of: prescription medications, dietary suggestions, OTC herbal and supplemental options, as well as in depth education around your state of health. Collaboration with integrative care practitioners, therapists, or outside medical teams may also be utilized. Please note your insurance may cover the cost of blood work and prescriptions, however insurance does not cover additional functional labs that may be recommended.

Includes: 60 minute assessment session, 20 minute follow up, basic labs, extensive treatment plan, functional lab recommendations.

Basic lab work may include: Extended thyroid function test, comprehensive evaluation of metabolic health (fasting insulin, fasting glucose, hemoglobin A1C), vitamins and minerals including B, B6, B12, Folate, Zinc, Copper, Vitamin D, and inflammatory markers.

Functional lab offerings include: Dutch testing for comprehensive hormone analysis, cortisol stress testing, testing of urinary neurotransmitter metabolites, Organic Acid testing, IgG 1-4 and C3d Food Sensitivity testing, GI Mapping and Gut health analysis, and Genetic assessment for pharmacogenomics including MTHFR status (this measures a medication’s potential to work well for you based on your genetics.)

Does Not Include: Cost of functional labs are not typically covered by client’s insurance. Labs will bill client directly for additional functional testing and clinician can provide typical cost estimation depending on testing desired.
